The Leadership Reset
Today marks the end of September and the close of Q3. More importantly, it marks the start of Q4—a fresh start. These transitions matter not because they’re arbitrary deadlines, but because they create a natural rhythm for leadership and success.
In sales, I didn’t just learn the importance of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end—I found them energizing. Like a runner’s high, the close brought clarity and one last push to finish strong. But the real value came in what followed: the chance to measure success, learn from mistakes, and reset with fresh drive to win.
Leadership has the same rhythm. The best leaders use natural pauses not only to look back, but to chart the way forward—building on strengths, addressing gaps, and setting a clear course.
Tomorrow brings that reset. New month. New quarter. Fresh scoreboard reset to zero. And at the same time, the beginning of the final stretch of the year. It’s a chance to realign both team and personal goals and recommit to success.
The rhythm is clear: finish strong, reflect honestly, and reset with purpose.
That’s how leaders win.
